No local network application on the N900
 

I am a new N900 user in Nairobi Kenya. All the nokia handsets that i have used in the past have automatically loaded the local network application (i dont know what else to call it). For example SAFARICOM or ZAIN. The N900 lacks this very important application. In kenya, we use our cellualr network to transfer money back and forth and so the absence of this makes the handset very unattractive.
Does anyone know how i can install this application or is it absolutely unavailable?

do you mean the SIM-toolkit? The menus that are present on the SIM?

Yes, it's a bit unfortunate.. but i think there are bug requests. Meanwhile, there are service codes taht you can use. Call up your customer care service and ask them what the dialer service codes are for the type of service you want.
