n900 cannot connect to any provider in UK
Hello
I have a T-Mobile contract on my n900. It works fine in Holland, Belgium and Germany. However, in the UK I cannot connect to any provider at all (both 2g/3g). I get 'SIM card rejection' or 'call cannot be established'. The same SIM card works in N97 in the UK so it is not a provider issue. I found threads about similar problems with 3 UK provider and old firmware, but mine is new PR1.2. Any suggestions? Thanks |

Re: n900 cannot connect to any provider in UK
stolen or insurance claim and its been reported lost
if bought genuinly then contact the person who sold it to you and get them to contact their phone company and remove the block on the phone the phone is blocked, not the sim and it wont work on any uk network if bought from someone you dont know then good luck, the proper thing to do is go to the police and get them to check if it is stolen or not. if not then contact your phone company and ask them why its blocked, you may get an answer you werent expecting, like someone has reported it lost. |

Wow! I would not think about this at all. I bought my n900 from an Internet shop in the Netherlands and always thought it is genuine. It came in nice package with all plastic protectors in place. So I guess it could be mistakenly reported lost. I'll check and come back.

You should just copy down the IMEI number of the phone and phone up an operator and ask them to check the status of the phone

Re: n900 cannot connect to any provider in UK
I spoke to T-Mobile and they checked my IMEA. It was OK, so this is not a problem. They suggested that I verify my phone settings. Well, there are not so many settings that control GSM(2G/3G) connectivity on n900. Maybe some other app can block network access (like autodisconnect)?
