PLEASE HELP ME - WiFi and Netowork is not working!!
 

Last weekend my phone got washed in sea water and I stupidly never got rid of the battery instead I turned it on and it crashed. After that I took it to a repair shop, they cleaned it and managed to turn in on again and everything was working except the WiFi. I could also make calls.

In order to fix the Wi Fi problem I flashed the phone to 2.2009.51-1.002. I tried to install PR 1.2 (US version) but when I turn on the device it says 'missing pictures'. So, I flashed it to '2.2009.51-1.002'

After flashing the phone it doesn't detect any cellular signal (Network) and when I try to make a call it shows "General Error" and never shows the AT&T logo (my carrier). Plus the wifi can't detect any router either which mean the problem got worse.

I will really appreciate if ANYONE can help me on this issue. I already spent over $70 and really dissapointed with it and I am in love with my N900.

I live in North California (Bay Area) and will be very helpful if anyone from the area can help too. I am a newbie when it comes to Linux and so if you throwing code line at me please put all the steps and be detail about it.

man i suggest throwing it the face of the guy who fixed it!
tell him to do a better job
as you might of kept in the battery then that means the water and electricty burnt the wifi modem
and that mean it must be changed

I asked him to help me replace the wifi modem then he said it's all built-in.So, no way to chage it. :(

Can anyone tell me which .bin file is PR 1.2 USA (Tested) cause when i do it, it shows missing image when I boot the phone.

Ok guys I managed to get the PR 1.2 but the problemwith WiFi is still there..it does show the network signal now.

man you cant do anything with the wifi unless you change the chip itself
its like having a fried tv and wanting it to work
no code it the whole world will make it work
