Does hotmail exchange / activesync work for you?

There are many threads and pages dedicated to seting up the new hotmail activesync / exchange on mobile devices.

However I have never successfully achieved this. At the point of the first sychronisation I recieve an 'error in communicating with exchange server' or a message indicating that the server is down for maintenance.

Do I have an isolated problem or has anyone else had this too?
I have tried this prior to and after a re-flash.

Any ideas?

hi,
works perfectly for me as I had to set it up after my Nokia messaging trial finished. I found that the calender sync caused most problems but sorted them out by making sure that all calenders existed in both systems.

it works fine... but biggest gripe is that it can't show html mails... :(

er... wtf... I can get it to work with nitdroid but not native on N900.

OK so I've done some testing...

I've created a NEW HOTMAIL account, using the N900:

The only thing I was able to sync successfully was EMAIL.

Syncing CALENDAR and or CONTACTS FAIL!

So in response to those who say it works, can you confirm or deny any of this?

i cant for the life of me get activesync continually searching without getting server is down for maintenance. any ideas?

Even with only email syncing I receive this.

BTW email is plain text not HTML so pretty poor - blame MS not Nokia for that.

However I have managed to add a gmail account using mai lfor exchange, as documented quite a few times elsewhere, the calendar sync fails, but I'm also having trouble with contacts.

Hotmail Activesync has been working perfectly for me with email/contacts/calendar for the past week.

Today is the first day that I'm having issues with it connecting.

Mine works perfectly syncing mail, contacts and calender(after I manually made sure that both calenders had the same labels, N900 etc). I have deselected calender and contact as it does speed it up
