Problems with 2 different email accounts on the same host

HI,

I have a company and using 2 emails on the same login like this:

username postmaster@houseof.......dk
password: bla bla

email 1 : companyname@companyname.dk
email 2: info@companyname.dk

Somehow my N900 will not allow me to setup the 2nd email account. Error message I get is: Cannot save settings.
Setup for both emails are similar only email adress is different.

Am I doing something wrong or is it not possible to do this?

Thank you in advance ;)

The username for the two accounts doesn't also differ?

Multiple email accounts on the same server certainly works; I've been using my N900 with such a setup since November of last year. However, each of my accounts on the server is differentiated by its username.

Is one of your accounts an alias of the other?

I think you're spot on, modest can't handle that due to the silly pathnames it uses for the cache (~/.modest/cache/mail/imap/$USERNAME__$SERVER_$PORT). Which is also why it doesn't allow changing the account settings after it's connected once.

Possible workarounds might be to use the IP address instead of the hostname for one of the accounts, or set one up as IMAP with STARTTLS on port 143 and the other as IMAPS on port 993 (assuming the server supports this).
