Setting min and max cpu usage in NITdroid

1 Attachment(s)
Hey guys i found a program called Set CPU for android which lets you to set the minimum and maximum CPU frequencies for NITdroid. This is very useful, because it saves a lot of battery and cools down the n900 ( if you have used NITdroid, you probably noticed the device getting unusually hot):)

This app roots the phone automatically, at least it did for me. it also allows you to overclock.

I have tried performance/700 for about a day, the N900 in my shirtpocket is so warm to the point it is uncomfortable. Currently I am running Ondemand/900/500, hardly notice any warmth.

how did you do that? 900/500 should make the n900 very warm.

I also changed from performance back down to ondemand. Performance is 'hotter' than increase frequency.

i ran that app and changed the min freq from 500 to 250,
and the battery lasts pretty well when n900 is idle. ill see what ondemand mode can do
