Sony Ericsson LiveView

I just wanted to bring peoples attention to this item as I really am waiting for something like this to come along and would love it if someone wrote a Maemo 5 daemon for it.

I love my N900 but for quick at-a-glance use it is seriously overkill and cumbersome. I love the idea however having a watch that summarises information from my phone, perhaps even acts as a bluetooth headset (LiveView does not, sadly) so I can wander around talking to my watch James Bond style. :D

Of course the catch is that SE have already released similar items before and they were too expensive for how primitive they were. This however is a bit more powerful but chances are that also means you could buy a second phone for the price. :( Still, I will wait and see.

Well I agree that this would be a useful device for the N900 and its also quite cheap (59€ in Germany). Maybe we can get it at least with Nitdroid working?

That is sooooo cute, I want to Dual boot one and run around talking into my watch like James Bond.

If they can be proved to talk with the N900 Maemo, then I'm sold.

I'm also interested in this item.
Proof is my humble thread:

But is Nokia sleeping?

They should react against the concurrence and produce a similar item.
They were in fact the first to experiment about such things and had a testing platform.

I'm waiting for a liveView from Nokia, together with a compass!!
