Sync up email + slow n900 + fmms
Hello, I am having trouble finding topics so if this was discussed before please post the thread.
1) My n900 becomes very slow after a few days of use, I have to reboot it to make it work better. Sometimes it takes 5 seconds just to answer a phone call. Perhaps theres an ap that can tell me what is sucking up all the power? 2) My 5800 xpressmusic nokia use to sync up my hotmail emails, n900 doesn't. Meaning if I delete an email on my phone, when I am on my computer it is not deleted and vice versa, this is after clicking the send and receive button. 3) Is there a recent fmms tutorial thread for the lastest version? I can never get it to work. Do I have to be connected to gprs? Thanks for any help, Tim |

1) Check out Optimize and Swappolube. Also maybe consider overclocking? Its easy to do and get good benefits - there are obvious risks but ive never had any problems running 1150mhz everyday since I got it.
2) Mine used to do that but has now started to work - weird I know. I take it you still have the settings correct in hotmail itself so that it doesnt leave a message on the server? 3) Not sure of a recent tutorial but what network are you on? I'll get you the settings how I'd set it up - not had a problem since right in the beginning. |
Re: Sync up email + slow n900 + fmms
1) I'll look into those
2) Do I want to leave the "Leave message on server" checked or unchecked to get it to sync up? I tried both ways and it didn't delete the old messages on phone that have been deleted from hotmail.com 3) I use Tmobile Thank you! Tim |

2) No you wouldnt want it to leave it there. I dont have many ideas on this as its not my area of expertise. Sorry :(
3) Not sure if you are UK or USA so i'll put both.... UK APN: general.t-mobile.uk MMSC: http://mmsc.t-mobile.co.uk:8002 User Name: user Password: pass HTTP Proxy: 149.254.201.135 Port Number: 8080 USA APN: wap.voicestream.com MMSC: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/mms (or http://208.67.216.231/servlets/mms) User Name: (leave blank) Password: (leave blank) HTTP Proxy: 216.155.165.50 Port Number: 8080 (or 9201 if 8080 fails) Put resize images on Medium, and then network mode on Rude. If thats still not working, ring up t-mobile and ask them if mms is enabled on your account. If thats still not working - on the off chance are you running PR1.2 and did you do the update yourself? Have you formatted since updating to PR1.2 at any point? |
