android x86 on N800

I'm just wondering if there is anyone that has tried this version of android? They say that it is working fine on the N800 but I cant find installation instructions.

Compatibility list:http://www.android-x86.org/hardware-list

I have been looking forward to putting android on my n800 but need help. I use my computer mainly for Adobe and aCAD so I dont run linux. All I can find is install from a linux machine. I need a lot of help.

Re: android x86 on N800

n800 is armel. X86 is a completely different CPU architecture. So, it won't boot.[added] Ahh I see, they have it on the hardware list. Still x86 binary code won't work on armel or any other cpus.

Re: android x86 on N800

What you want: emulating an x86-32 processor on an ARMEL would be dog slow and inefficient.

Out of all the options you have the ones which make most sense are:

1) get a x86-32 device (e.g. run Android SDK or VM on your Windows machine)
2) switch to native ARMEL (e.g. run Android/Nitdroid port on your N800).

In case 1, you are on the wrong forum. Go to an Android forum. In case 2, use the search to see if other people have tried Android on N800. Good luck.
