"Select All" option - is there one?
How do I "select all" files when using File Manager to copy and paste or move all files to a different location for example? I've tried using "Control A" shortcut but that does not work.
So is it possible to select multiple files in the File Manager without actually having to select each and every file in the directory manually? |
Re: "Select All" option - is there one?
Select each file as far as I know. The best option for transfers of that nature is via Terminal. Be careful not to do any damage though.
Find the correct directory/directories and use Code:
mv * /home/user/MyDocs/whatever/directory/to/move/to/ |
Re: "Select All" option - is there one?
I thought a "select all" option in the status bar menu would be useful, must admit using the terminal makes me very nervous

sevep learn to use terminal.
In my opinion it's faster to use then any graphical interface. |

You can only select multiples by clicking each one, no select all. That said, try one of the 'other' File Managers in the repos there are quite a few.

Thanks Marlon, I'll do that and report back.
UPDATE: GPE file manager has a "select all" option, many thanks for your advice Marlon :) http://maemo.org/downloads/product/M...e-filemanager/ |
