Thanks to Meego coming out soon on the N900, we now have portrait mode firmware for the N900. YES! FINALLY! I have no need to buy a Nokia N8 now. I am sticking with my N900.

good news! But that means it will be a busy time for developer to verify and port their application to new platform. :)

well first see what works and what doesnt in meego. no use of hving portrait mode with many of the Maemo functionaities missing :P

...I still don't get the benefit of portrait mode. Sure, its useful in a couple of specific apps - like FBreader and the phone application - But for general use? I mean, most of the time you'll have the keyboard out anyway, which means you are going to be using it in landscape mode.
