Desktop Editing Mode switch bars-> Possible to make smaller?
 

When in Desktop Edit Mode there are 2 blue bars that line the edge of the screen that make it possible to move a shortcut from one screen to another.

Is it possible to editing something somewhere to make these side bars smaller? I never use them and they keep messing me up as i try to place shortcuts around the outer edge of the screen.
