Pictures folder problem
Hi,
Although I can take normal pictures or record videos, I just can't see them on 'camera' folder, when I'm using N900. The pictures were moved to DCIM folder. I just can't find a way to make the pictures to me stores automatically on 'camera' device. Does anyone know a way to solve this? |
Re: Pictures folder problem
there is no Camera folder in the file system.. when you goto file managerll you will see a folder called camera but if you will actually connect your phone through usb to a pc or in the terminal.. .. you will see a folder called dcim.. they are the same...

Re: Pictures folder problem
not sure what you're getting at here, DCIM and Camera are the same folder
camera shows up in file manager DCIM shows up in the terminal are you talking about DCIM on a memory card? |
Re: Pictures folder problem
I'm not using Memory Card.
When I go to file manager in N900, there is a folder called 'camera', but it does not show anything. The pictures are actually in the folder called 'dcim'. I understand they are the same folder when I'm managing N900 connected on a computer, but they look different on N900 screen. This seems a little confusing, doesn't it? |
Re: Pictures folder problem
there shouldn't be a DCIM folder in the app manager
open xterm and run ls -a ~/MyDocs are there 2 DCIM folders there and is there a camera one showing? |
Re: Pictures folder problem
Well, I also have DCIM and .camera folder im my filemanager. And DCIM only on MC. And in mass storage I also can see both folders on my ubuntu and W7 machines.
But in my case taken pictures goes to DCIM on MC or in .camera in MyDocs. But DCIM folder in MyDocs is always empty. In file manager and also in mass storage mode. And I've been wondering since the day one why there are two folders. |
