Overclocking N900 with "ideal" settings
I've overclocked my N900 with "ideal" settings.
It seems to be working great for now, but it seems that the lowest limit frequency resets to 125 Mhz (instead of 500) everytime when there's a phone call. High frequency limit stays on 850 MHz though... Is there a way to automatically set low limit back to 500 after a phone call? Does low limit actually matter that much? Thank you! |
Re: Overclocking N900 with "ideal" settings
it matters really as the 500 min. saves battery and improves performance
you can make a widget that sets the limits every lets say 30mints?? that should do it ;) or you reset it after every phone call but I wrote a script and it will be uploaded within the next few minutes that will save battery and partially avoids the 125Mhz problem |
Re: Overclocking N900 with "ideal" settings
Mine does not reset to 125Mhz after a phone call.
What version of Power kernel are you using? |

Re: Overclocking N900 with "ideal" settings
ok, I got it, I have 2.6.28-maemo40 kernel installed
I just updated it from maemo37 kernel, and the problem is still there; after a phone call low frequency limit resets to 125 MHz. Any ideas how to solve this? @bakuur can I have a link for your script? What does it do actually? |

Anyone? I really need to fix this if possible

coz in my case, i use QBW to display high/low freqs, after a call, resets to 125mhz according to QBW, but when i open conky, stays at 500mhz min freq, also open exterm, typed in Code:
/usr/sbin/kernel-config show Enjoy! :D |
Re: Overclocking N900 with "ideal" settings
I'll try to install conky, but it may be that conky actually reads frequency wrong...
After it resets, I too get the response that 125 and 250 is still on avoid, but limits says 125 for low and 850 for high. |
Re: Overclocking N900 with "ideal" settings
I have this exact same problem as well.
Is there any explanation or solution? |
