N900 bricked while trying to reset to factory settings with maemo flasher by nube please help, i tried to flash it to factory settings and i fallowed all instructions but it would say usb device not found once i would put in the version i want to flash to , so after a few tries i gave up and decided to turn my phone back on only to find it would not go past the nokia hands and kept restarting itself.
how can i fix this?
im running a windows 7 home prem

I had the exact same problem last night. I had to reflash it from Ubuntu. Neither my desktop or laptop, both with Win7 would recognize the device properly.

Follow the Linux instructions from Wiki.

u seem to know what ur doing ive never used ubuntu , id appreciate it if u would take the time to guide me throgh the steps eeitehr throguh email or on the forum thanks

here's a quick tutorial how to set up a Linux distro (in this case Ubuntu 10.x) as a virtual OS on your Windows OS:

i got ubontu to work however in the terminal when i fallow the instructions
listed here: http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware#Linux
i get something like no such file or directory on the first line
