Oh. My. God.

And Android may get a sudden influx of quality games with playstation officially running on the system. |
Re: The Playstation Phone
Yes, its real.

Re: The Playstation Phone
I wonder how this compares to the PSP2. I was kinda hoping Sony wouldn't go forth with a PSP Phone and the PSP2. It specs seem to indicate that it's just a phone that looks like a PSP Go that would only play Android games already on the market.

Re: The Playstation Phone
How big is the battery? It better be big! A "Super Amoled Screen" may help with power consumption. It looks like it will have or emulate "Dual Analog Sticks" with the "Touch Pad Area" which is a much welcome feature! I also hope it's OS "Android 3.0" uses energy effectively because pulling 3g, doing internet, email and all the other "Smart Phone" stuff we enjoy doing then turn on the PSP on the device spells "DOOM" for battery life! Will see!

hook it up to a car battery !

Re: The Playstation Phone
This device will likely have a dedicated market offered by Sony for PSPhone games. But, because games are being developed for Android, they will be really easy for developers to port (aka copy) to other devices and/or markets.
This is a very interesting move. |
Re: The Playstation Phone
We may have to the giving the slow implication or use of better batteries in "Smart Phones!"

Re: The Playstation Phone
Time to cancel my OpenPandora pre-order? Maybe not until this thing is actually shipping, probably an 80% chance that SE will have these things in Australia before OP get my little black obsolete handheld to me.
