learn commands
Hi all,
I want to learn commands useful in xterminal.what is difference between xtermial and rootsh.which one is best and easy to understand. |
Re: learn commands
xterminal is an application which provides you with a command prompt where you enter commands.
Google for something like "learn linux" and you'll come across one of the gazillion guides for new users... |
Re: learn commands
You might find what you want in the wiki to use xterminal: http://wiki.maemo.org/Terminal
It would also be a good idea to learn a bit about how Linux works if you want. There is a great tutorial there at IBM: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/li...pic1-v3-103-1/ Hope that helps! |
Re: learn commands
X-terminal allows you to run commands using a "command line" - ie you type in the commands instead of using a pointy-clicky gui interface. When you get to learn more about it you'll find that it is more powerful than a gui. Normally X-terminal runs using the default n900 user, "user". Rootsh allows X-terminal to run using the user, "root", this gives it FULL access to the whole system, which means you can easily bork your system if you don't know what you're doing.
