gtalk/jabber just dont connect
 

Hi,

I just got an N900 in India, and flashed with the latest PR1.3 global edition. The reason I flashed was that gtalk and jabber refused to connect through my wifi no matter what. It would just say signing in, and then just get back to the VOIP and IM accounts menu with the status 'not signed in'. I tried with two gtalk accounts, created a jabber account to try as well, no success. After flashing, now I have skype, sure, and that works, but gtalk still won't work.

Am I missing something?

My jabber account is not also working. Always asking for sign in. I don't know what to do.

jabbed has been one of the most reliable protocols for me, the only thing I can think is perhaps you are having ports 5222 or 5222 blocked somewhere along the way. If you are on wifi, check your router. If on 3g, check your provider

I saw the same problem after a password change.
Updating the accounts with the new password was not enough, i had to remove and add again before they began to work.
