What is this part?

This part

has come off from my n900 :).

It`s located inside of the back cover, upright side of the camera lens cover and stand area. So anyone has idea what is it? :)

it looks like it doesnt do anything important

It's part of the mechanism that keep the phone stand in upright position or closed.
I guess one can live without it.

yes it still works....well if the other one gets off, i send phone to service center

When the phone is stressed, this breaks before the derai- i mean, camera/kickstand/back cover :P

I noticed that part fell off of mine too. At first I thought it was part of the lens cover, and was afraid that the cover would slide open in my pocket. But if its just part of the kickstand, that's not much of an issue. thanks for the info.
