Software update failed
 

Hello

I want to update N900 phone. I use Nokia Software Updater. I do all instructions.. it downloads update sucsesfull, but then it's updating i get error:
"Software update failed
For optimum conectivity, your USB cable should be connected directly to PC, ....."

I tryed all my PC USB ports, but it fails always. Plese help:o

Duhhhh... no s**t sherlock!

Dont you love Nokia error messages.

The easiest thing to do is do a backup, reflash, restore from backup.
use power search to search for the updating wiki and follow that. it gives you instructions for windows, linux and OS so you should be covered on all bases.
