Internal Error: Program Contacts Closed
 

Currently, I am not able to use my N900 due to an "internal error":

- I had to flash my N900 with the newest update fremantle-1.3.
- Next, I restored my contacts and calendar data from an OVI-suite backup.
- I was able to open the contacts application for a short while but then it crased.
- Now, every 10 secons or so a message appears "Internal error. Program contacts closed"

Flashing the phone again does not seem to be an option. How can I resolve this problem?

Any help greatly appreciated since I currently cannot place phone calls!

Do you have rebooted your device?

Do you use the extended-contacts-search plugin

Thanks a lot for the quick answer. The problem disappeared after removing the extended-contacts-search plugin.

Everything works OK now!

mine is doing it when I`m overly fast with opening up lots of programs at the same time....bear in mind that I have the phone overclocked @ 900-1000. It used to do it less frequently (once every month, with the old v.38 titan kernel) but now with the new v.45 kernel it does it more (maybe once every week or so)

i have the same problem now, yesterday i asked my friend to send me a contact.
he did so from his galaxy samsung device. not sure if its the problem but i do not have the extended contacts search plug-in, just the "My Contacts" widget.
anyone got ideas how to solve that? i would appreciate quick response. thanks guys.
