please help total novice trying to install fmms
 

hi sorry am a complete novice not a developer just fone user trying to install fmms says app. packages missing libhildon1? i have no idea how to code or what apps to use. can someone please help me the dummy way?

1. App Manager > Type in "fmms" click.

2. Accept all the notifications etc (What country you from and what network provider are you with?)

3. Reboot phone once finished

4. Open up fMMS wait for a few secs then click on the options bar [fMMS]

5. Check to see if in "polite" mode, if so connect your phone to the internet connection names (MMS).

6.When connected send a MMS saying test to your own phone number.

7. Wait...........

Then let me know.

hi thanks for your help, when i go to download it in app manager doesnt complete download says conflict with app package maemo 5? am on o2 in the uk....

Try to download (Faster App Manager) shut down the phone. then boot back up and try use faster app manager to get the job done. I've had a few problems with App Manager too.

Word of advide. If you can, connect to a WiFi network because it Will download a lot of data. And if you on Pay&Go you'll eat some credit. If your on contract and have web surfing package then give it a shot. But it will be seriously longer that using a WiFi network.
