So today i have bought angry birds level 1 2 3 packs. Wasn't level pack 1 already open with the download of a free game? So only the 2 and 3 packs unlocked. Have i wasted money?

No, the first level was included with the game - level pack 1 includes levels 2 & 3 (completing the first world).

so after i finish level pack 1 3 sets of 21, ill have level pack 2 with 3 sets of 21? and then level pack 3 with 3 sets of 15?

Level pack 2 is split into 2 sets of 21(41 total), level pack 3 is 3 sets of 15 (45 total). There are also the golden egg levels which I haven't included, but there are 8 of those in total.

From the looks of it, level pack 2 only has two sets of 21, but otherwise that sounds right.

The total is... 63+41+45+8=157

Edit; oops 42 for the second pack so that goes up to 158

Well at least supposedly there is coming some christmas edition Angry Birds, don't know about the content nor the availability for Maemo platform.
