Ideal video codec settings
Hi,
I tried tons of different settings to convert a video file e.g. Lost, to the same quality as the Nokia_N800.avi, which is preinstalled on every Nokia N800. So far, the best I can squeeze out is: Resolution: 320x240 Bit rate: 750kbit Codec: Divx / Xvid Audio: Mp3 Bit rate: 128kbit Channels: Stereo Sample rate: 44100 However, the Nokia_N800.avi video has a much higher resolution and plays fluently. Does anybody know what codec it uses and how which settings need to be configured to achive the same quality? Thanks! |

Use his Media Converter

Re: Ideal video codec settings
Depends what you mean by "ideal".
As has been said, it's easiest to use a converter such as Kontorri's or my own 770-encode (needs to be renamed, possibly to tablet-encode) Both of these now have presets of settings guaranteed to work on the Maemo tablets. |
