can't istall apps please help
 

when i try to install some apps pidgin for example it says " unable to install ' pidgin ' conflicting application packages.
what does it mean ????
and how can i install these apps

is all application is giving same thing? if not then try this.....

when it says "unable to install ' pidgin ' conflicting application packages."

see detial there what aplication is conflicting and uninstall them.

and then try to install the application which was giving you error

some application conflicts others so u can not run them both at a time on your phone .for example you can not install psx4m and psx4all as well ..u can not install them both on your phone it will also give u same error ..hope this helps!

many apps say the same thing when i try to install them, i just bought my phone 3 weeks ago and 1st of all i tried to install pidgin but failed. the same story with apps that i really want i could download some useless apps like stopwatch etc.. some other apps say missing application packages.
any solution please ? i just bought the fone and i'm disapponted at it

hmmmmmm .........

u did not tell what u see in the detail after saying "conflicting application packages."

is your phone second hand??(if it is then flashing the firmware will solve this)

well i am not an xpert but i still would like to give you some tips...

if yu are trying to install "pidgin protocols plugin for conversation and contact" it will surly give you error for this you will have to install "pidgin extra protocols" first
oh ya why do not you try to install "faster application" if it starts working (there is less chances to succeed i think)
also u can try to update the catalog!
try to restart ur phone
and you said "some other apps say missing application packages"

well normally application packages install with the application itself
for exmpale when u install psx4m it will install psx4m gui too.

the details says :
app packages missing : libqt4-core(=4.5.3~git20090723-0maemo6+0ms)
conflict with app packages : libqt4-opengl(4.5.3~git2009723-0maemo6+0m5)
maemo5(3.2010.02-8.003)
and many other things like that i can't copy them all

my phone isn't a second hand but i tried updating the software from the phone itself and from nokia software updater but both failed i don't know why

i want to reflash the device but i don't know how, and i fear that i ruin my device instead when i reflash it

i was trying to install " pidgin internet messenger " itself not any other plugin

i restarted my phone and updated the catalogue and nothing changed

i wish to find a solution, i'll be greatful if u did

look buddy grab urself the fw and emmc image and reflash ur handset. REFLASH=CURE
