not able to uninstall u boot
 

nokia n900 pr 1.3

once i installed meego using u boot in the mmc
now i am trying to install nitdroid for which i read that i need bootmenu
so i tried to uninstall u boot....it showed uninstalled but even when i restart my mobile it appears..

i tried this command in x terminal too...
apt-get install --reinstall kernel flasher
it then shows me a message if i want to continue
i type in "y" it then shows the error unable to fetch some archives...
what do i do?

and also i dont want to lose any of my apps or files!!

You need to have an internet connection.

i tried it
it downloaded the file fine..
but then it showed....bizarre
error kernel file size not what expected

still the u boot is appearing at every boot up!!

flash the PR1.3 kernel using flasher3.5
check the wiki

and next time, do not open two thread for this

hey worked it out
i installed u boot again and then typed in
apt-get install --reinstall kernel flasher
