moving gif images on background?
 

ive seen apps for photo slideshows and live wallpapers, is there an app i can use to have moving gifs on the desktop of phone?

You could try live wallpaper.... You'll find it in extras-devel probably.

Live Wallpaper is in all the repositories. No need to stray out of Extras to get it. (And the less you stray out of Extras, the happier your N900 will be.) But I don't know - maybe some features are in the Devel version that make it a must for you to have that one.

hmmm i mentioned live wallpapers in the post above ^^^^

i want custom gifs to animate in my background though, does live wallpaper app have this feature?

it dosnt have a gif player as far as i know, but you could convert the gif into a movie file or a flash .swf file and live wallpaper will run those just fine.
