Mer Kernel for Ubuntu Jaunty on N810?
 

Hi All,


I've successful installed ubuntu jaunty and mer v0.16 to external card on my N810, however, I found on ubuntu it is not able to use the sound and the battery status may also have problem may cause over discharging, and it is not shows same problem on the mer but mer can not display some GUI based wares I needed.

So, I want just simplely use the mer kernel for jaunty because they are based on ubuntu jaunty arm version, but I found no something looks like kernel image on /boot folder.

Any one may share some idea if it is possible? Or I can install a new kernel to ubuntu avoid compile it from source?

Interesting! I don't know much about these things, but what you just did, is that making mer and jaunty making up for what each other lacks?

well, I've solved the problem via another way:

1. chroot to mer in os 2008
2. paste the ubuntu source to mer's /etc/apt/source.list
3. apt-get update
4.
apt-get -t jaunty install libvte9
apt-get install synaptic
apt-get install onboard

5. install what ever you want， for example, lxde
apt-get install lxde
