Maemo Doesn't appear on Multiboot

Only Nitdroid appears on multiboot. So since I can't access maemo to Uninstall multiboot, Reflashing is the only way to get maemo back. Correct?

I read the wiki and since I have Win7 64 bit I'm opting for disabling signed drivers (1st option). So I disable signed drivers then start from step 5?

If I want to reflash the emmc. Do I do it after reflashing the firmware?

Thanks,

edit: http://tablets-dev.nokia.com/nokia_N900.php it says to flash the emmc first. Ive seen other tutorials and as mentioned in the thread you have to flash the firmware first any idea? and whats a fiasco image?

1. Don't know
2. Don't know
3. Yes; reflash the eMMC after flashing the firmware.

have to tried pressing 0 in the multiboot?

also if you want to reflash the emmc make sure that you get rid of the -r command when flashing the kernel! -r will stop the phone rebooting after the kernel is flashed!

when I pressed 0 It gave an error stating kernel couldnt be loaded or something and to press anybutton to panic.

And clarify something for me
1. reflash firmware without typing -r in the end of the command
2. reflash emmc

isnt the kernel contained the in the firmware?

Re: Maemo Doesn't appear on Multiboot

you can try flashing the kernel instead, in maemo flasher issue:
flasher:
flasher-3.5 -F ''image''--flash-only=kernel -f

Re: Maemo Doesn't appear on Multiboot

Every time i reflashed my phone i always used this site
http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware

when you pressed 0 and it gave you error stating kernel couldnt be loaded means that the only way is to reflash the kernel.

so

cd "%ProgramFiles%\maemo\flasher-3.5"
then
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_2.2009.51-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin -f -R (remove -R if you want to flash the emmc as well as kernel)

the reason you remove -R is because, once you reflash the kernel and it turns the phone on. It wont be able to reformat the emmc. I don't know why but thats just how it is

then this to reflash the emmc
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f

its not complicated but might be a new thing for you. It's easy and make sure you follow it properly.

and yes kernel is contained in the firmware.
In you case, you don't need to format the emmc. It should load maemo up just after flashing the kernel but it's up to you

emmc would erase every thing whereas kernel won't!

I reflashed the firmware. Thanks for your help:D and i am booting into maemo right now.
If I decide to flash the emmc I just run the flasher and put in
flasher-3.5.exe -F RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.13-2.VANILLA_PR_EMMC_MR0_ARM.bin -f

correct? No other steps are needed?

Thanks again

Re: Maemo Doesn't appear on Multiboot

if you have to reflash emmc. as i said before - it has to be done before you reboot into maemo. as you have done the reboot.
you have to reflash kernel without -R and flash emmc afterwards!
