770/N800 Virtual keyboard as HID
 

I'm sure this has been discussed before but even though I [managed to solve the captcha on the search page] and search for it, I didn't find a discussion about it.

Is it possible to use the 770/N800 Virtual keyboard as a bluetooth keyboard device?

I've done it via VNC but bluetooth would be nice.

That would be an awesome application indeed. I do remember someone talking about it a while back, but don't recall which thread it was in myself. I'd think it would be possible to pull off though. It would make the tablets that much more useful in my opinion.

There is a piece of software called xkbd-bthid (http://www.mulliner.org/bluetooth/xkbdbthid.php) which should emulate a bluetooth keyboard. I have never managed to get it working with my computers, though.

If anybody has managed to get this working, I would be interested.

would there be a simpler way than setting up xkbd-bthid to use the n800's virtual fingerboard as a keyboard for my cellphone? i was thinking maybe a different bluetooth profile is used when connecting to a cellphone (s60). i think this would be nice when typing sms (T9 is a pain).
