Just a thought... CanonScanner/Micro$oft vs Nokia tablets
Now its 2 am 1/1/2011. I need to scan something. I put in the stuff and scanned, it worked. And it worked beautifully.
I had reformatted my desktop a few days ago, and of course, forgot to re-install the scanner software. No sweat. Digged out the CD came with the scanner, 2004, inserted into my window 7desktop, installed, worked, and worked flawlessly. This is a scanner I bought in 2004 from Amazon.com for $49.00. It survived Micro$oft Win98/WinME/Win2T/MediaCenter/winXP/win7. Backward compatability! The Canon Scan is a CanoSeries 4200F made in 2003, and has since changed into 4400F and onward. Dose not matter, it works even today 2011! Hardware quality built! Stood next to the scanner is my N800. Light off, has not been on for ages. That brought up a big sore spot. Started with 770, then N800, then N810 and now N900. I have to admit, each one of them gave me tons and tons of pleaure and joys in the glory days, especially the N800, but EOL has been way too soon. In fact, the one lasts the longest is the original 770... Oh well, now it is 3am......... Happy New year to all the maemo citizens. bun |
