LCD on with Backlight off
 

Some questions:

1) Does Fremantle have some option to keep the LCD on after the backlight turns off?

2) If it doesn't, can I do it via programming? I thought something like a big clock app with white BG and huge digits in black, so we can make good use of the transreflective screen.

3) I am assuming that the LCD consumes less power than the backlight itself, can someone help/clarify on this subject?
