Ovi Maps and N900 Maps
Hi,
Each time I sync my Ovi Maps and N900 Maps' Data, Ovi Maps shows that I have maps downloaded for all regions on my device. However, the fact is that I have downloaded maps only for a single region. My question is that is there any way to correct this issue? Reason is that maps (Ovi Maps) keeps prompting me that there are updates for maps on my device. This is generally for other regions and not for the region I have downloaded. |
Re: Ovi Maps and N900 Maps
Delete the cities folder located either on the memory card or your MyDocs folder and redownload the maps of your choice.. that usually does the trick

That's weird.. Did you also delete a file called qf? it's outside the cities folder...
Do you have the latest version of Ovi Maps installed on your PC? |
Re: Ovi Maps and N900 Maps
does not work. The .qf files created on both the times are same! :(

Re: Ovi Maps and N900 Maps
I don't know then, there's probably some cache data that needs to be deleted..
Deleting the cities folder and the qf file does the trick for me.. :S |
Re: Ovi Maps and N900 Maps
I encountered this after installing the latest Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284.
While your device is connected, you can delete the unrequired maps through Ovi Suite. You can reinstall them later if you decide you need the maps. |
Re: Ovi Maps and N900 Maps
I have had this issue ever since I started using the Ovi Suite. That is even before the V3.0.0.284 was released. :(

Yeah, I was never convinced with Ovi Suite, I still use PC Suite.. :D
I refuse to use Ovi Suite.. Anyways, try to do what Joseph said.. It might work. |
