Any of you feel that the N900 can be a bit laggy sometimes?

At PR1.3, I still feel that the N900 is not as snappy as it should be / could be. Do you feel the same? A simple example is, from a locked state, with display off. Then open keyboard, screen takes a bit of time to wake up. Point isn't able "What are you going to do with that fraction of a second, mate?", but rather "How come it doesn't feel snappy?".

Sure, but on the other hand, I recently got my wife the C6-01 and it wasn't that super-fast either. Even my e65 running Symbian S40 sometimes hang.

Try rebooting the device if it shows chronic laggy-ness.

I agree. The point is that the N900 can be somewhat slow to respond. No idea why, but it doesnt open apps or programs in a smooth manner. For some reason the problem seems to get worse with every major software update.

Apart from a reboot, another option is to overclock.

It's fine for me... I mean come on... You're using a high end phone... Want a snappy one? Get a 3310. It has no graphics or any transition whatsoever so it should be snappy as it is. Well if you're comparing high end phone snapiness do you have a phone which you could compare to n900? As of I know android phones are far worse than n900

Yeah! even the top-of-the-line $1,599 Macbook air needs some time to startup and load applications. Like Radicalz38 said, expect some lag on all "swiss-army" tech device.

install swappolube. after that i almost never have lagginess, until app manager running in the background. it mostly has to do with nokia's ****** way of dealing with ram usage and putting swap in the wrong place.
