Modifyng FMTX Widget

Apologies if this has been discussed before but I couldn't even find a thread relating exclusively to the widget...

Is there much that can be done as regards modifying the widget? I have already changed the four images for my own button; the original red and green both looked like they were illuminated rather than one being greyed out when off. However, I would also like to change or remove the text at the top "Transmit is ON/OFF" as it is pretty unnecessary, and the overall size of the widget would look tidier if smaller.

Is it easily done? And where are the files stored? I remember seeing them somewhere before but now can't find them. I wouldn't be averse to messing around with them to see what I can break!

Cheers!

You'll need to modify the widget's source code if you wish to remove the function calls creating the label, and if you also wish to make the widget's size actually smaller.

Cheap hack would be to "dpkg -L simple-fmtx-widget", find the file with ".so" as its suffix and use sed/vi(m)/a hex-editor to manually change the string to one of the same length or spaces
