Error message : "partition X does not end on cylinder boundary"
1 Attachment(s)
hi..i have partitioned my N900..before partitioning the internal memory, i edited the vanilla.bin by using HEX EDITOR and changed the swap to 896, and home to 5GB..then i flashed the N900 using the modified vanilla.bin
i then partitioned the internal memory using GParted, after finished partitioning, i did "/home/user/bin/fdisk /dev/mmcblk0" and i got this Attachment 16936 before this, i have partitioned my N900 with the original vanilla.bin file, and i didn't encounter any of this problem.. should i worry about the error?what might happen if i just ignore it? any help is greatly appreciated... thank you |

Re: Error message : "partition X does not end on cylinder boundary"
Linux and therefore maemo will have no problems with this kind of error, DOS will and Windows might or might not. Please test it if you need the partition in Windows as well.
