wrong transitions setting = crash and lag?
Hi.....yet another thread.....
As the title says.....is that possible? I have encountered the hangs, lags, and crashes like all the threads flooding here, and the reproduction is almost every 10mins. What I only did is edit transitions.ini what part I edit is the blur radius, the blur that occurs on the background when dialogues pop out (not when opening task manager or app menu). I set it to zero so there would be no blur. The other one is the deceleration and strong deceleration that i set both to .99 and .9, after that and a reboot, the first lag occured when i change the connection in connectnow. As i choose the connection and tap, it lag, i waited but errrr.....no good results after 10mins so reboot. Second one is on theme-customizer and many more that only happened on a single night. Yes i tried to troubleshoot. I thought and a strong one was overclocking. So i uninstalled kernel-power and use the device on stock. After 10 mins of using, lag still there....took the battery out for 1hr and same lag, crash results. I now thought of reflashing, but no.....i just think back what was the first thing i did when this lag occur.....so i uninstall all themes and delete all copies of transitions.ini file on my n900 (for i dont remember what did i edit). After reinstalling everything is back to normal and that then, i fell asleep. |

It is unlikely, but not impossible.
Just restore transitions.ini. It's in /usr/share/hildon-desktop Download attached transitions.txt to your device. Then go to terminal and issue: cp MyDocs/transitions.txt /usr/share/hildon-desktop/transitions.ini Or, use mc. |

I was also so dumb to delete my default transitions.ini file. |
