Send via bluetooth doesn't work
I want to upload the photos from n900 to my Fedora laptop - but for some reason, it doesn't show up as a destination when I choose Send via Bluetooth.
The phone & laptop are paired - so that's not a problem... Is it some specific BT service that maemo expects the PC to have? |
Re: Send via bluetooth doesn't work
Update: got it to work
* installed Blueman * made laptop "permanently visible" * set up OBEX "server" |

I have Blueman installed, and I've checked that it's visible, but I don't know about the OBEX server, could you please explain how to set it up? Thanks. Edit: Worked it out, thanks to the hint. For anybody else who has these issues with Linux (and in my case Fedora 14), you have to right-click the blueman-applet in the notification area (near the clock) and go to "Local Services"; Then choose "Transfer", and under "File Receiving (Object Push)", check "Accept files from trusted devices". |
Re: Send via bluetooth doesn't work
