Will XAMPP/LAMPP run under Maemo?
I have a website I like having access to offline... Does the N900 have the capability to run the simplified development Apache server called XAMPP (see here) so that I can dump a Wordpress site into it and go to localhost to view it in the browser?
That... would be cool. If no one has tried it, I guess I can be the first :D |
Re: Will XAMPP/LAMPP run under Maemo?
And the answer... Nay! It shall not start.
At least, not by simply sticking it in /opt, which is how it works on the desktop. I guess it would have to be specifically recompiled for the N900 (?) and that's beyond my skill level for now. |
Re: Will XAMPP/LAMPP run under Maemo?

The packages to install are actually called
lighttpd, php5, and mysql-server You start the server with Quote:
As suggested here I created a short phpinfo() call as a simlpe test webpage. However a 500 - Internal server error was the result. Some more configuration is called for I guess. I may be starting to get the hang of this :D |
Re: Will XAMPP/LAMPP run under Maemo?
t tried this configuration guide http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=62575 but it didn't work out for me, returning a 503 service unavailable error. I commented it out.
I then noticed there is a cgi-config section further down in the lighttpd.conf file beginning with the lines Quote:
Anyone have a fairly straightforward guide to this? I don't have a compsci degree :) |
