possible to clone N900?
 

ive just picked up my second device and started from scratch with a fresh flash and its A LOT faster than my old device with the various OTA updates and tons of packages installed.

im trying to get to a stable base multiboot image (stock/power46/froyo/gingerbread) with the most essential apps like rootsh, leafpad, fapman, fmms, Geeps, fcam, my contacts, rockbox, kmplayer, etc)

would like to do it once with all the right settings and tweaks, and then just clone the stable build to my old phone.

Yes im aware i can use ovi suite to backup and restore contacts, apps, etc, but im looking for something low level so i can really eliminate the low-level niggles of the os on the old phone that slow it down.

i know there are emmc images floating around with larger space for application memory, etc, but i dont know how to do this.

Search for the BackupMenu thread, i remember having read that you actually can convert the images made by BackupMenu with some tricks to flash-able images.

just to let you know icould never get it to work , im using ubuntu10.10 an would never make image , but try backupmenu make back then install backupmenu on new phone an restore job done !!

im still trying the flashable image thing but stuck at mo
