Harmattan on this Nokia Meego device "later this year", no vanilla meego core therefore, I guess.

or 1)i think he meant that as Intel would be interested in MeeGo and Nokia wouldn't so it would be probably kind of fork, so it would be maemo6/meego and moblin/meego

or 2)he meant that it would be like maemo4 or maemo5, one device, no long tem support, experemental, not too much commercial (like you remember n97 vs n900, with one got better support and attention and why)

hardware spec is going to be shiit and since there is no support then who would buy it? unless it's dirt cheap and fully opensource and open drivers. Then the device might have some hope of surviving with community-based support

I think, Eldar means the device, which is expected in 2011 from Nokia.

So what does it mean?

-dropping meego in favour of maemo6 for de 2011 meego device
-maemo6 for n900
-1 meego and 1 maemo device

I hope it's an ARM device so we can borrow a proper flash 10.1 plugin

First meego device from nokia was considered as harmattan (maemo6), with meego api compatibility. Real meego core in following devices. It looks like, according to eldar, that there will be no further meego devices, so no real meego core device will happen from nokia.

The first MeeGo device from Nokia was always meant to be harmattan/maemo 6 device. Just for the past 1-2 months the discussion have really started that Nokia would have gone directly to MeeGo core, but harmattan UI.
