problem with 3rd party usb charger...
i have an problem with all chargers with an usb port.... when i try to connect the original usb cable my n900 wont charge.... but an iphone will ....
for some mobile devices it works when you short the data + and data - wires on the phone side from the usb cable.... how do the original one work?? will that shorting trick help?? i 'm in the forest and cant work that out.... |
Re: problem with 3rd party usb charger...
The phone needs to see a short (or low resistance) on the data pins in order to recognise it as a charger and not a computer. I usually modify the charger rather than the cable though (otherwise the cable is useless for data transfer).
