mediabox - where did the shoutcast list go?
Mediabox used to have a list of internet radio stations by genre available. Now all I get when I go to the "Music/Shoutcast" shortcut, is a message that says "genre list unavailable".
What's up? Was it deleted intentionally by the program? (BTW, where is the app-specific link in the forums? I can't find a damn thing about this app anywhere except posts from 2008.) |
Re: mediabox - where did the shoutcast list go?
Look into the announce thread for mediabox. I fixed this problem.

Re: mediabox - where did the shoutcast list go?
Thank you for the link, but I have no idea how to even begin such an operation described there.
Will there be an update to the application that includes this fix, then? That would be very welcome. |

then with xterm : Code:

I don't know, if this fix will be included in an updated package,
because I am not the maintainer or developer. Maybe pycage will have a look at this. This is only a workaround of mine. |

Re: mediabox - where did the shoutcast list go?
I came back to report that I can't get this fix to work. Xterm is reporting that the file or directory (from the first line of code) is not found.
I put the extracted file in MyDocs and entered the code as you have it (except you misspelled "mediabox", yes?) |
Re: mediabox - where did the shoutcast list go?
Sure misspelled :)

Re: mediabox - where did the shoutcast list go?
I had the same problem with mediabox and gave up. I think it was abandened so now its a total mess. Ended up installing radiotimetogo and have been very pleased. Give it a try.

I don't know, where the problem is. Just replace the existing file in
/opt/mediabox/components/ |
