Re: how to install gingerbread help needed?
You need to have a MicroSD installed to be able to boot into Nitdroid even if you install it on the emmc. Follow this link and follow it VERBATIM ok?

Re: how to install gingerbread help needed?
You don't need a microsd - I installed it and have it running without, mainly using that tutorial you linked to.

Re: how to install gingerbread help needed?
Well it did not work for me until I put the sdcard in. And that was all I had to do. I did not need to change the the multiboot file.
When I take out the sdcard and alter the multiboot file accordingly, I get a guru meditation error... |
Re: how to install gingerbread help needed?
i have 2gb and 1gb microsd card.would it work?which os(gingerbread/froyo/..) is fast?
i want my n900 to work faster after installation where should i install and what os should i install? |
Re: how to install gingerbread help needed?
will you tell me how did you install?
which android os is fast and where should i install so that it will work fast. |
Re: how to install gingerbread help needed?
Nitdroid needs a 2Gb sd card to work so use that one. Froyo is suggested untill there is a more stable version of gingerbread. Nitdroid's speed depends on the class of the sd card. It should say it on the card. Class 6 or better is good. If you install Nitdroid on the sd card it won't slow down maemo.
