help needed to setup pppoe connection
 

I recently bought a usb lan card , and after some work , it now works correctly using host mode, I can use udhcpc to get it to connect to the router , and can ping it successfully , however I am still needed to enter a user name and password , to actually access the Internet , this is required to be done from each pc , this can NOT be done from the router.

I installed rp-pppoe and ppp , but I am facing some difficulty getting them to work .

when I start pppoe-setup , I get an error that child process pppd has terminated .

however I can execute pppd from shell without problem , but it just outputs some weird strings for about 20 sec and exit .

can some one who knows how to properly get this configured help me please ?
