Open Source Phone Clone?
 

(no pun intended in the title)

We have an in development version of the Media Player by MohammadAG, an in development version of the Camera UI by Nicolai (I think?) and open source clones of osso-applet-notificationlight and osso-applet-display by him too.

What I was thinking is, would it be possible to have an open source version of the phone application? It's rather flawed, and an open source version would really help in ironing out all the problems that are currently associated with the phone. Is it possible, or are the phone components just too deeply hidden to be manipulated by third party software?

i do believe this has already been discussed on the cssu page, not sure though. try pming one of the cssu devs? maybe they could help you out?
