N770 - Installation Python2.5 failed
1 Attachment(s)
Hello,
i need help. I canīt get Python2.5 fully installed. I always get the message: Not fully installed. I installed first the base repository and then the the Python2.5 Installer. I first thought some programms i installed earlier are the Problem. I thought, perhaps they are also in Python2.5 (the appeared in the installlog). Therefore i uninstalled some of them (SDL_ttf, libsql_lite). I noticed that the download size grows after that. But still donīt got Python2.5 installed. I attached the Installation Log. Thank you for youīre help. Uwe |
Re: N770 - Installation Python2.5 failed
Thank you for adding the log file, it makes it easier to understand the problem.
I might recommend you two things. I think that you have xterm installed with root access. But else you must install xterm and root access. As root, you try running: "dpkg --configure -a" or "apt-get install -f" I think that someone of two commands can help you. There is some package without configure, and with it I might help. Sorry for my English. Indeed and for being Friday by night. Here 5am. Cheers, |
Re: N770 - Installation Python2.5 failed
Thanx yerga for the help.
No, i neither have xterm or root installed. Is it really neccessary to install root? I dont want to do that R&D-Mode Thing. It scares me a little. It should be possible to install software over the Packetmanager whithout root. Any further suggestions. Uwe |
Re: N770 - Installation Python2.5 failed
You can do it if you install becomeroot. Find it in http://downloads.maemo.org/product/becomeroot
Then in xterm, type "sudo gainroot" and you will be root. Cheers, |
