.Doc files on N900??
I can no longer load abiword from Dev (deforma missing?) and it seems the abiword thread has gone dark.
Is this just me? Or have others moved on to a different way to display and {lightly} edit .doc files? Is "deforma" something that should be installed? If so, would flashing/resetting the N900 fix this? Update: After re-Flashing AbiWord installs. I think the "deforma" problem arises when an uninstall of AbiWord removes too much...? |
Re: .Doc files on N900??
i'm using easy debian and have full blown abiword and openoffice installed there, i suspect that's the path others are taking too.

Try easy debian. You get a desktop icon for OpenOffice 3!

Re: .Doc files on N900??
I was hoping for a native App.
When abiword was working I could typically run it then open a file and read/edit/save what I needed in the time it took to open EasyDebian/OpenOffice |
Re: .Doc files on N900??
freOffice works pretty well but after a month of using it the file associations broke somehow. It would no longer open office files from the file manager/web/emails. You had to open freoffice and try to open the file manually that way.
