My N900 is acting up on me :(
 

Just for the sake of *****ing,

My N900 have been acting really strange lately. Random reboots, Sim card disconnects and have to type in the PIN-code all the time, random disconnects from 2-3g.

And this makes me a sad ninja. ohwell, guess I just have to get another one. I love this phone and the community here. Can't see myself going 1 day without using atleast 1-3 hours on the phone.(tweaking and modding). Its my life, I love it more than my 15,000.- NOK pc. Hope this community is still going strong for a very long time!

i noticed from your sig that your device is 900mhz. sounds to me like an overclock issue makingthe device unstable.

step 1 - remove the overclock and run the device at stock speeds.

if the device is still unstable

step 2 - reflash the devkce and reinstall only apps from extras.

if the device is now stable then reinstall apps from devel one at a time.

you may have done these, but you don't say so.

Ahh yes. I've tried that. Been running it on 600Mhz and default voltage profile for a while. Guess I could try reflash. (Ohhh the paaain)

If you are running ulv, switch to ideal and make sure you are not using "smart reflex" above 805Mhz. This can lead to reboots unexpectedly.

Done and done, forgot to add, that if I shuv the HWkeyboard open to fast and hard (Hard as i not using over 5 secs to get it out) it shutsdown. And I can't see any reason that's software related :p

Sorry to be pessimistic, but it sounds like hardware to me - back to Nokia "care" and make burnt offerings to the Maemo god.

I had similar issues and after two attempts at "fixing" it they replaced it.

Ayes, Guess I'll just order a new one, cant wait weeks for Nokia "care" to get it done, I'll just use the old one for testing apps , scipt's and modd's then :)
