Menu icon location
 

Hello,

I'm currently working with a Qt application and my problem is with the folder where menu icon exists. I've followed guidelines from http://wiki.maemo.org/Packaging_a_Qt_application and defined that the icon will be copied to /usr/share/icons/myapp.png. Everything is working now but I cannot use the folder above when I want to publish the application to Ovi Store.

Maemo 5 Application Ovi Store Entry Requirements document defines that files over 2kb should be stored to /opt folder. So can someone help me and tell how I can move my icon to /opt folder? I was able to move the icon to /opt folder but then I cannot see the icon in menu.

I haven't published any apps, but I wouldn't worry about it since the /usr/share/icons directory is already symlinked to /opt/usr/share/icons

Just put it into /opt/usr/share/icons - /usr/share/icons will symlink to it anyway, but I'm guessing the QA process for OVi store, whether human or computerized, could fail to realise that /usr/share/icons would just drop it into /opt/usr/share/icons.
